Release notes for Optimizely CMS and Customized Commerce updates

Important

Release notes are moving to a new location. Starting May 15th, the release notes on the World site will no longer receive updates. See the Release notes by product at its new location.

This topic lists Optimizely updates, delivered as NuGet packages and services. You decide which updates apply to your project.

Select a product, package, or service in the left menu, and then select one of the following filters from Item type and click Filter.

  • Bug – Display bug fixes.
  • Critical bug – Display only critical bug fixes.
  • Feature –  Display only new features (all features).
  • UI Feature – Display only end-user (user interface) features.
  • Security - Display only security updates.

Note: NuGet packages listed here may not be immediately available in the Optimizely NuGet feed.

  Project preview not working (project gadget)

Prerequisite: Disable project mode in web.config.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Make sure project mode is disabled.
  2. Create a project.
  3. Add a page to the project using the project gadget.
  4. Click the 'Toggle view settings' button ("the eye").
  5. Click the 'View as if this project was published' button.

Expected
A list of available projects opens.

Actual
Nothing happens.

  Scroll bar selection area is too small

With the UI refresh, the width of the side panel scroll bar seems to have shrunk in Chrome.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load a CMS site in Chrome.
2. Add gadgets to left panel until there is enough content to create the scroll bar.
3. Try to click on the scroll bar to scroll.

Expected:
Scroll bar is easily selected.

Actual:
Scroll bar can only be selected in a 1px wide area.

  Shortcut links don't clear target setting when changing back to "no shortcut"

If you set up a shortcut link on a page and choose an "Open in" option, it doesn't clear that setting when you change it back to "No shortcut."

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to any page type currently in the navigation (or in a listing somewhere) in the back-end.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Manage next to Shortcut.
  4. Choose either the "Shortcut to another content item" or "Shortcut to a page on another website" option.
  5. Choose either "Open the link in a new window" or "Open the link in the whole window" as the Open in option.
  6. Enter an external URL or choose a page.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Publish the page.
  9. Click Manage again to reopen the shortcut settings.
  10. Change the shortcut type to No shortcut and click Save.
  11. Publish the page.
  12. On the front-end of the site, click the page in the navigation (or in the listing).

Expected
You can change the "Open in" option if the shortcut type is "No shortcut".

Actual
The page opens in a new window because the "Open in" drop down is still populated with the previous selection, even though the shortcut was turned off.
