Contents inside Extension areas are not indexed

Hi

We are using 'Extension Data Container' (Extension X3). During Search(EPiServer Search) the contents inside the Extension areas are not indexed. If we include "Extension Data Container' - the Extension Container pages are also indexed which is not required for the Search functoionality.

We require the content inside the Extension area to be searched but the Extension Container pages should not be included. Request you to help us resolve this issue.

Hi,

The content inside each content area will be indexed and refers to the Extension page where the content area is located.

The Extension will run the indexing automatically if the setting for "Enable index content" in Extension plug-in settings is enabled.

You should not include "Extension Data Container" for the searching. This node should be hidden from the editors by checking the option "Hide the Extension Data Container from the page tree in edit mode" in plug-in settings.

Regards
