Customize ContentArea

Hi all,

I need to drag and drop uploaded documents into content area, whille I can drag drop pages or blocks only.

I consider, is there any way to custom ContentArea in episerver 7?

Hi,

ContentArea can only contain IContent objects. At the time being, files are not yet implemented as content, therefore cannot be inserted into content area.

In the future releases, files and folders will be converted to content. But it's not the case of EPiServer 7 amd 7.1

Hi, Assets will be the key functionality of Episerver 7.5 (as far as I know). By that, you have pretty much everything an IContent that can be used in ContentArea, including files.
