EPiServer Find 7 to 7.5 Migration Details

Vote:

We are planning to migrate EPiServer from 7 to 7.5 and hence EPiServer Find also from 7 to 7.5.

When we look at the breaking changes in - http://world.episerver.com/documentation/Items/Upgrading/EPiServer-Find/75/Breaking-Changes/, it looks like there is nothing. So what are the steps that are required to migrate EpiServer Find from 7 to 7.5?

Also once we migrate to 7.5, we are planning to migrate the application to 8. So is it possible to migrate EPiServer Find from 7.5 to 9, which is the latest version of EPiServer Find through nuget.

There are not so many breaking changes in Find, and you can go directly from 7 to 9.
Here are a list of breaking changes for EPiServer Find 9

Thanks Henrik for the updates. I am very new to EPiServer technology, started working in and around 1 month back. Could you please clarify the below:

  • Can I migrate EPiServer 7 directly to EPiServer 8 or it should be sequential? I hope it should be sequential say 7 to 7.5 and then from 7.5 to 8
  • With your answer you had mentioned we can directly go from 7 to 9 for EPiServer Find. Does this mean if I am migrating EPiServer application from 7 to 7.5, I can use EPiServer Find 9 in it?

Thanks for your time in advance
