CustomerGroup MetaField Missing in Promotions (Customer Segments)

In Commerce Manager i'm trying to setup a promotion that targets users based on their customer group. I've been able to do it on the enoteca demo site but on our development build the CustomerGroup MetaField is not showing up in the customer segments condition dialog (when creating a new segment).
