I am trying to upgrade a site from CMS 6.2 to 7.5, but have an error I cannot get a resolution for:

Error - Cannot validate argument on parameter 'SiteAssetsRoot'. The argument is null or empty. Supply an argument that is not null or empty and then try the command again.

When executing

An error has occured and the transaction will be rolled back

Has anyone encountered it or know how to get around it?

I can't find anything about it on the internet.

Are you going directly from 6.2 to 7.5?

It was a while when we had an upgrade wave, but I guess that we didn't skip 7.0 version.

It should be mandatory to upgrade to 7.0 first, then to 7.5. If you're using Deployment center, the tooltip for upgrade script will be "Upgrade EPiServer 7.0 or higher ..."

Oddly Episerver themselves state you can upgrade from 6.2 to 7.5 directly, but I think the 6.2 - 7 then 7 - 7.5 might be safer.

Better take smaller steps in upgrade process.
