The demo template package contains the following templates:

  • Alphabetical index
  • Blog
  • Changed recently
  • Mixed portal page
  • My Settings
  • Portal page
  • Slide show
  • Start page
  • Workroom
  • Forum

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE INSTALLATION OF EPISERVER MODULES INSTALLING THE DEMO TEMPLATES

There are restrictions regarding the installation of Episerver modules after installation of the demo templates. Follow the instructions below if you have already installed the demo templates and wish to install another Episerver module, for example EPiBooking.

  1. Open the web.config file for the Web site on which the module is to be installed.
  2. Uncomment the <virtualPathMappings> lines to allow data to be imported.

        <add url="~/Default.aspx" mappedUrl="~/DefaultDemo.aspx"/>

    </virtualPathMappings>
  3. Open EPiServer Installation Manager and install the module according to its installation instructions.
  4. Remove the comments from the web.config file and reload your Web site.

Certain limitations applies to some of the templates, please check Template Limitations for further information.

Prerequisites

The following conditions must be met before installing the demo template package:

Note: If you have modified the templates from the public package, you may receive unexpected results when compiling or viewing the Web site. The demo template package installation does not overwrite any files included in the public package.
