Hi,

I am trying to switch from EPiServer Find to Episerver Search, the default search.

Anyone who has tried that?

I try to follow this guide http://sveinaandahl.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/how-to-install-episerver-search-for.html but the indexing doesnt seem to work.

I get som confirmation errors when trying to connect http://localhost/IndexingService/IndexingService.svc

Hi Ida,

This is what I check when EPiServer.Search doesn't work:

- Lucene.Net.dll and EPiServer.Search.IndexingService.dll in wwwroot / bin folder
- IndexingService.scv in wwwroot / IndexingService folder
- make sure that I'm using correct baseUri (including the port number) in web.config under episerver.search / namedIndexingServices / services
- make sure that I have a client named 'local' under episerver.search.indexingservice / clients
- always check the episerver log file and event viewer because they contain valuable information

Hope this helps
