reCAPTCHA not in form elements

Vote:

I'm trying to use the reCAPTCHA element that should come baked into Episerver Forms (per https://webhelp.episerver.com/16-5/addons/episerver-forms/recaptcha.htm) but after adding the Forms nuget package I do not have reCAPTCHA available in the form element list in a fresh Alloy site with just the Forms nuget added. Any ideas why I'm not seeing a reCAPTCHA element?

The ReCAPTCHA element requires the Forms Samples package.

That works, but that should probably be in the documentation. I didn't see it anywhere in the Forms set information.

Yes it's in the user guide http://webhelp.episerver.com/latest/addons/episerver-forms/form-element-types.htm

So it is! My bad, I must have had a bad case of selective reading yesterday, I swear I read the page on reCAPTCHA a half dozen times trying to get that to work.

CAP COM WEB, judging by the link you posted it seems you were looking at an old version of the user guide.

Ping @Asa, I think it would be helpful to link to the Episerver Forms Samples NuGet package and the GitHub repository in the guide (if someone is totally new to these, then they might know where to look to get the package).

@Antti, thanks for the feedback! I have updated the user guide now with some info on the Samples package and Demo project. It will be included in the next release of the user guide.
