Language Gadget: preventing properties from being populated when creating new language branch
Currently, the LM does not support excluding sepecific properties from being translated or copied. You can create a feature request for this reqirement. It's better if you could provide your expected UI or UX.

I have a customer that usually uses the Language Gadget when creating new language branches for pages. On some pagetypes we have properties where the data is being imported from their PDM. The problem is that not all languages have any data in the PDM so the properties should remain empty, but when the master language has data imported all new language branches created with the gadget is being populated with the master language. Is there any way to exclude certain properties from being translated through the gadget?
