Episerver - update 160

New releases of Episerver CMS UI, Episerver Social, and the marketing automation connector for Exact Target (which also affects the Forms connector). Bug fixes for Episerver Commerce and Episerver Find (both releases include a critical bug fix).

The update applies to Episerver projects version 7.5 and higher, and contains finalized work items included in the latest iteration. Continuous release updates are cumulative to include previous updates. Episerver supports all platform updates and strongly recommends that you keep ongoing projects up-to-date. You can install the updates from the Episerver NuGet feed.

Main packages
This release information lists updated main package versions for the Episerver platform. When a release is built, other dependent packages also may be bumped to new versions, although they contain no publicly visible changes. This is done to avoid dependency errors. When you upgrade, NuGet alerts you to upgrade related packages to the required versions. For Commerce, it is important to ensure that you are running the same version of CMS and Commerce, both in the front-end and back-end applications.

Episerver CMS UI

New feature:

    • CMS-6236ChangeLog API replaced with Activity API

The Change Log API is deprecated so the use of it has been removed.
The Change Log admin page has been moved to Tools and gotten a minor update.
See also Activity logging in the CMS Developer Guide.

Episerver Commerce

Episerver Find

Episerver Social

New feature:

    • EPSO-885: Rating statistics can now be extended with custom data using Composites
This change introduces Composites for rating statistics, which allow applications to extend the rating statistics with additional custom details and data. See also Chris Banner's blog post and Extending rating with composites in the Episerver Social Developer Guide for more information.

Episerver add-ons

New feature:

    • MAR-376: Exact Target data extensions supported
The Exact Target connector now supports Data Extensions, in addition to the Subscribers database. On the form mapping screen, the list of available Data Extensions appears below the Subscriber option.
The form field mapping screen displays available fields from the Data Extension that were selected in the previous step.
      Important!
      • While creating a new data extension in the Exact Target portal, you must specify an External Key even though it is an optional field. The API uses the key to identify a data extension.
      • With Data Extensions, Episerver does not support auto-fill and personalization/visitor group features. They are used to capture user info, typically used for email campaigns and personalization within Exact Target.
