The standard export functionality in CMS admin mode will let you export the pages to a file which can be imported into CMS (at least the same version). It is not really readable in any other format, but you could always install a new site of that version and import the content if you wanted to look at it. The export file is a zip archive containing xml files specifying the page types (you shuld export those as well) and pages and then the files used on the pages are included aswell. So theoretically you can parse the files into another system but it would be a lot of work.

I was aware of the export tool but since I am new to Episerver, I was a little skeptical on how it exactly functioned and was looking for a confirmation on the export process, which is exactly what you provided me with.

I did try out the export tool on the website and even though it let me export pages and page types to a file, it did produce numerous errors as follows:

Now I have checked for the mentioned files in the paths for eg: 'D:\EPiServerVPP-Translated\Globals\5c\8e\5c8e8da7-3fc8-42c8-bddf-9c6b499a919d.jpg'

In the above case the folder '8e' does not exist in the specified path, which leads me to believe that these may be references to images that may have been deleted some time ago as a result of requirements.

Is there a tool that can parse through these site structure and clear up these dead links or is there a way that I can ignore these links?
