V6 R2 Visual Studio Integration

Hi - probably a newbie question but am just getting started with EpiServer. I need to use V6 R2 to match with the installation a client has. However I can't see to get VS,Net integration set up, I'm using VS.Net 2012. Is that supported with this version. I ask because having installed the EPiServerVsIntegration.msi without error, I don't see anything show up in the new project or add new item dialogs.
