Handling 404 errors in VPP

Hi Guys

Have a strange issue and was wondering if you can help why does http://www.episerver.com/asdfasd return a nice 404 page although http://www.episerver.com/global/asdfa only ugly iis error message. Something to do with the global vpp directory although cant put my finger onit

I've seen this problem discussed before and there seems to be no good solution.
