Exception when querying PageStoreService

Vote:

Hi everyone,

Is there an example that shows how to use the PageStoreService web service ? I have configured the server in order to enable web services and I can access the web service and invoke it without any problem. Sadly, whenever I try to call GetPage or GetChildren, I get the following exception :

Server was unable to process request. ---> Unable to generate a temporary class (result=1).
error CS0272: The property or indexer 'EPiServer.Core.LanguageSelector.SelectionSource' cannot be used in this context because the set accessor is inaccessible

I think that it might simply be that I do not correctly use the API but I've found very little documentation around the PageStoreService and its method parameters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Hi Guillaume!

There is a bug reported about this: Bug #72114: Runtime compiler error CS0272 when using the PageStoreService

It has been fixed for the next upcoming release, so you can ask EPiServer Support about creating a hotfix request for you.

Is this still a "get in touch with the support for a hotfix"-situation or is this no longer an issue when I download and install a fresh copy of Episerver CMS 6 R2 from world.episerver.com/downloads ?

If you do a fresh install, you should NOT see this problem then.

Shahid: Thanks! How do I  go about patching an old site running an earlier version of 6 R2? (6.1.379.1)
