Visual Studio extensions fail when trying to create a new project

I'm trying to set up a new MVC project using the Visual Studio extensions.

However, after a lot of file copying the installer fails with the following error: http://imgur.com/BZHQlVI (screenshot)

Is a full-blown IIS and local SQL instance required to make use of the EPiServer project template?

Hello Ted,

It might be because of a bug (see this forum post). In short you need a default SQL server instance or an instance with name SQLEXPRESS.
