Can´t set scheduled publish on a page if not the main language branch version (same page) has been published.

Our issue: we want to set scheduled publish (same publish time) on both (all) language-versions on a new page

Our versions:

Episerver CMS: 10.3.2
Episerver CMS Core: 10.4.2
Episerver CMS UI: 10.6.0
Episerver CMS UI Core: 10.6.0

Hi Erik,

In EPiServer, we can not set scheduled publish for a page unless the main language version is published.
Moreover, we can not create 1 scheduler for all language versions. In your case, we have to create 2 scheduler with same time for 2 language versions.

Note: We can set the publish service's interval in CMS > Admin to meet your requirement (see attachment). By default, it's run hourly.

Hi Cuong,

We have a customer with the same problem as Erik describe.

The customer creates a new page in master language and sets this with scheduled publish. Then creates the page i an other language and want to set this with scheduled publish as well as both language versions should be published and available at the same time.

In ealier versions (EPiServer.CMS.UI/EPiServer.CMS.UI.Core 10.10.1 or the one before this) of the CMS when doing this the page/UI just refreshes, but nothing happen, no message.

Now (updated to latest version EPiServer.CMS.UI/EPiServer.CMS.UI.Core 10.10.5) I see this "The original language (no) for this article has not yet been published. The original language must be published before the article can be published in other languages." which of course is better.

You mention an attachment in your comment. Can't see this, but are you referring to the "Publish Delayed Content Versions" job?

How should this work as you cant set "scheduled publish" for the page?

Episerver version:

EPiServer.CMS.Core.10.10.1

EPiServer.CMS.UI.10.10.5

EPiServer.CMS.UI.Core.10.10.5

EPiServer.Framework.10.10.1

Hi,

We also have the same problem. How can set scheduled publishing for page in multiple languages (e.g. master language and one or more language versions) when all the versions should be published at the same time?

Hi Mikko, you should be able to add all versions to a project, set them to Ready to Publish and then schedule them for later publishing at the same time.

Hi Asa,

Thanks for your quick reponse. Is it really so, that I have to create a project, if I want to use scheduling when publishing page in multiple languages?
What if our customer don't want to use project feature? Currently we have customers who are not using the project feature.

There is a bug reported for scheduled publishing of two languages at the same time (without using projects), seems to have worked in CMS 9. It will be fixed in coming versions.
