Save-view does not save new peoperty values

When creating a new page and doing Save-view, the properties that are to be rendered in the page are all empty, except for the system properties. This also happens when doing changes to an already published page and doing Save-view, the property values hold the old values. The properties are not updated until I publish the page.
BTW, the properties hold the old values no matter which method I use to retrieve them, <EPiServer:Property ..>, CurrentPage.Properties[..], CurrentPage[..].
Ive seen the EpiServer 4 FAQ nr 159 which states that this problems owes to the EPiServer cache and suggests a context menu Refresh to force the new values to appear but this doesnt work either.
Any ideas?
