Hi all,

CM version 10.6

Trying to export our catalogue in old CM. Got this:

2017-06-16 13:45:12: '', hexadecimal value 0x01, is an invalid character.
2017-06-16 13:45:12: Exported 680 of 1387 entries
2017-06-16 13:45:12: Exported 660 of 1387 entries
2017-06-16 13:45:12: Exported 640 of 1387 entries
2017-06-16 13:45:11: Exported 620 of 1387 entries

....

How can i find which item that does have that non XML proof character somewhere? Any idea?

Maybe reflect Commerce code and find out where it stops?

Maybe activate some log? which?

regards!

I will check if this kind of error message is improved in Commerce 11 - this is one area where we want to make the message is more clear and helpful.

It seems that one of your property contains characters which are invalid in XML ( something like "<p> Blah blah ..."). < and > are invalid in XML

    Hi,

Quick way to find it, search for catalogue entry with special character as per error log using keyword.

You will find result with nodes whichs contains that hexadecimal character and remove those and save it again.

After removing it all from each search result try to export it again and it should work.

It would be great if we can get node id in error log to easily find and fix.

    Regards Yagnik

    Hey Gosso,

Are you able to fix export issue. I am facing similar issue and I found all catalogue entries with special char and fixed those but still getting similar issue. I cleared web application pool and website restart.

But getting same error during export.

Any idea how can we get rid of it? I can't see any log as well.

    Regards Yagnik

Hello Yagnik, Sorry I can-t help you on this one. File for a bug at support. Yes would be nice with a logmessage where to find the issue.
