For testing purposes only, we would like to index our clients existing site using Find, and show them some search results/speed etc. Is this even feasible? Site is not an EPiServer site. I obviosuly won't be able to search for specific types, as there will be no model to search against...
We will be building their new site in EPiServer 7.5, so it will be built to fully utilise Find, but we just want to see how well it performs with the existing site. (Existing site has 10,000's pages)
Finds api which is part of the EPiServer.Find nuget package doesn't have any dependancis on the cms or any product excep for Newtosoft Json.net.
You need to get the sites pages in a normal c# object representation and then you can index it. How this is done depends a lot on how the site is built. Is it a .NET site today?
Yes, I understand that it is a .NET Site, but right now, we don't have access to it..But, good to know.. EPiFind can be used with a C# Object Representation, and isn't tied to EPiServer.
