IndexingService.svc return 404.0

Hello,

I've got an 404 error when try to access http://mysite.dev/IndexingService/IndexingService.svc. The site is copied from Alloy MVC installation which is run just fine.

What I've done is copy entire folder (appdata, wwwroot) to a new folder "mysite.dev" and create new web site under IIS point to new folder. Access right is granted for IUSER and IISUSER, baseUri in configuration is modified to matching my new site.

But everytime I try to access the indexing service uri, server alway return 404.0

Module: ManagedPipelineHandler

Notification: ExecuteRequestHandler

Handler: svc-Integrated-4.0

Error Code: 0x00000000

Anyone know why and how to deal with this?

Have a look if you have WCF installed on your machine and registered to your IIS. I wrote a blogpost about a couple of issues regarding indexingservice a while ago. Also have reference in the bottom if you need more information.

I think you need to install the service again.
