Extend XForms

I wonder if it is possible to extend the XForms editor with a new web control input type="file" for uploading files? It would be great if someone who has done it or knows how to do can give me a hint. Thanks in advance

The common way of doing this seems to be implementing the file upload on the page template and not in the xforms. http://www.episerver.com/en/EPiServer_Knowledge_Center/Developer-Forum2/EPiServer-Developer-Forums-/1805/8452/ http://blog.fredrikhaglund.se/blog/2007/12/05/episerver-using-the-new-unified-file-system/#comment-2154

I need to do the same thing, but the link here doesn't work anymore. Does anyone have any tips on how I can let users upload files in an xform?
