Support for Epi 7.5 on Windows 2016

Greetings Everyone,

We are thinking of migrating one of our EpiServer CMS 5.2 implemetation to 7.5

From the requrements documetation it seems like EpiServer 7.5 officially supports Windows 2012 R2 & Windows 2012.

Unfortunately, all our infrastructure has moved on to Windows 2016.

Hence can someone confirm that we will get the same official supports as before if we move to Windows 2016 ?

However you might want to consider upgrade to latest version (11.20.2 at this time) to benefit from new features and improvements

I did review the page you had shared; my question is would Epi provide same level of 'customer support' to an CMS 7.5 instance running on Windows 2016 as it does for CMS 7.5 instance running on Windows 2012 / R2 ? (unfortunately that is not explicitly written in the link hence wanted a confirmation).

If an OS is supported it is supported, I don't think we have a partially supported OS. Mind you episerver runs on . Net framework which is an additional abstract layer on top of the OS. I would expect very very few edge cases in which there is a problem on 2016 but not 2012

Episerver has never tested v7.5 on Windows 2016 and its not in the official supported list of OS's: https://world.episerver.com/documentation/archive/system-requirements/?p=203155

I would personally recommend upgrading to the latest v11 version and am curious to know why you want to only upgrade to 7.5 from 5.2 instead of upgrading all the way to the latest version?
