License related issue in cloud environment

Hi,

We have built an application site in episerver on top of Alloy application. When this site was deployed in cloud environment we get this error in our logs :

2018-01-01 22:43:53:239+0000 - severity=ERROR thread=10 category=EPiServer.Initialization.Internal.WebIdentityInitialization operation=(null) trace=(null) reference=

{reference} sessionIdHash=(null) message=Site 'AlloySample' has SiteUrl 'http://localhost:64080/' which has a different virtual path than the current application.

So I tried removing the Alloysite reference from the admin mode -> manage websites; but somehow our cloud environment site crashed. Can anyone please suggest what might be the reason ot what is that we are doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bhargav,

I guess this is related to configuration issue, can you check your Manage Website references and your web.config are following the same virtual path and check any iis express references are stilll left. Kindly share more details like where did you do the site configuration in cms and code.

Regards,

Manik

Hi Manikantha,

I changed the site url in admin interface to the suit the actual site url. Now its's showing a warning that :

  • The site was saved but has no valid license: https://xxyyzz/(site url)
  • [Activate] Failed to activate license site: The number of activated sites has reached the limitation of 0 sites .

This is happening when I try to activate the site. But this warning  didn't appear when the site url was http://localhost:64080/ . Is there any binding for a cloud license with site url ?
