Hi all,

I'm close to rolling live with my first EPiServer site. I have one thing holding me back at this point. I need to be able to reference something uploaded to media with a short alias. Something like "https://example.com/pdfName/"

I'm sure there are ways to do this, I'm just not sure what it is.

For pages there is simple address you can use. Won't work for documents though.

Workaround:

1. Create a page anywhere in the structure. Give that page a simple address like: pdfdoc

2. Also set the shortcut on that page as redirect to external website. Copy paste the url to the pdf.

Going to www.site.com/pdfdoc will now redirect to that pdf...

This is the workaround I've been using. My users can't seem to figure out how to do any of this. If that's the only way to do it, It'll have to do.
