Multi-site beta to production

I have a multi-site that is in a beta environment. I want to export the data from that site and import into the production site. Will any changes that have been made in the live production site be lost when I import the data?
Are there any potential "id" numbering conflicts with items and assets in the beta environment vs. those in the production environment?

When importing you have a checkbox option to update existing items with the same ID. If you leave it uncheked you will get duplicates but you are safe of overwriting later changes already made in production.
How many items will you be exporting?
