Can we show/hide scheduled jobs based on who is logged in?
We have a requirement where the client wants only specific users to run some of the scheduled jobs.
As far as I know there is no built-in support for access rights on scheduled jobs. Are you restricting custom or built-in jobs? If you want to restrict access to your own jobs - role check could be implemented before executing the job but it will be always visible for users that "do not have access" to execute that job.
Thanks for the prompt response Valdis,
We are planning to do that on custom jobs. If you can share with me an example code on how to do the role check on execute function that would be greate.
To Role check you use the common .Net RoleProvider. Read more about it here
Otherwise I think you can find some inspiration on editing the Scheduled Job view with Mathias Kunto's blog posts
I think I can get with this information somewhere.
