Get started developing with CMS

1. Set up your development environment

Set up a development environment with everything you need in Visual Studio and the Episerver Visual Studio extension.

2. Install a sample site

Install the Alloy sample site using the Episerver Visual Studio integration, and explore the Episerver project templates.

3. Learn basic editing

Learn how the basic editing features work, and get familiar with the basic editorial tasks, before you start developing. 

4. Create a starter project

Create an empty project, to use as foundation for your continued development work.
