This setting doesn't have any effect in the <episerver> section of the configuration file:
<imageEditor zoomImageToFitInWindow="bool">
This setting is still available in the API but no longer used, setting should be obsoleted. Setting have been removed from SDK for CMS 7.5/8/9.
