Project mode: email notifications

Description

The commenting feature released with CMS 9.2.0 has now been extended with user tagging and email notification features.

User tagging allows editors to tag other users in comments or replies. A tagged user will receive an email with an excerpt of the comment and a link to the project. Tag a user by entering @ and the user name. While typing, a list of matching users is displayed.

Email notifications enable editors to keep track of comments in projects. Email notifications are sent to:

• users who are tagged in a comment or reply,
• users who receive replies to their comments,
• users who receive comments on their project actions (such as setting a project item to Ready to publish),
• other users who have previously replied to the same comment,
• and other users who have previously been tagged in the same comment or any of its replies.

How often these notifications are sent is set in the Notification Dispatcher scheduled job in the admin view.
