This document provides an introduction to scheduled jobs in EPiServer Commerce. Scheduled jobs will run in the background with preset time intervals and typically do cleanup and updatings tasks. A sample installation of EPiServer Commerce comes with a number of predefined scheduled jobs which are managed from the administration interface of EPiServer CMS. The scheduled job management is based on the EPiServer Scheduler, and you can also add your own customized scheduled jobs.

Classes referred to here are available in the following namespaces:

Default scheduled jobs

A number of scheduled jobs are included by default in a sample installation of EPiServer Commerce. These, together with the administration of scheduled jobs, are described in detail in the EPiServer Commerce User Guide.

Implementing scheduled jobs

Refer to the Scheduled jobs section in the EPiServer CMS SDK for information on how to implement your own customized scheduled jobs in EPiServer Commerce.
