Introduction to the EPiWorld Community

Hello all. I want to take a few moments to introduce myself.

This week is my first at EPiServer.  I joined the company as a Solution Architect in the US to help facilitate the technical side of the sales process.

I have been in IT for over 10 years during which time I have filled a variety of roles at a few different companies.  Prior to joining EPiServer I was the Professional Services (PS) Business Development Manager and Team Lead for North and South America at Check Point Software Technologies. My role included defining new business offerings and ensuring continued growth of the PS revenue, developing and managing relationships with partners/customers/sales, scoping and securing PS engagements, and managing the Americas Network Security team. Previous to this I filled a more traditional Professional Services role at Check Point providing both implementation and training services for the Endpoint Security solutions, the bulk of which was made up of encryption products obtained through acquisition of Pointsec Software Technologies, also a Swedish based company. Prior to the Check Point acquisition I was an employee of Pointsec developing custom solutions to meet client specific needs.  Roles at additional companies before Pointsec include: Software Developer, Professional Services Consultant, Solution Architect, and Team Lead. In the consulting and leadership roles I fine tuned my soft skills. In purely technical roles I developed my technical skills. This included programming in a variety of languages with extensive work in C++ and occasional work in Java, VB, C#, ASP .Net, and other languages.

I have lived in Chicago, Illinois for 7 years. The rest of my childhood and early adult life I resided in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan with the exception of a short 3 month period in New York City, New York.

I am an extremely thorough, dedicated, and hard working individual with a fairly diverse skill set. While this is only my fourth day at EPiServer everything I’ve seen suggests this company has a wealth of talented people, well defined and forward thinking processes/procedures, excellent products, and a vision for success. I am looking forward to being part of this dynamic and energetic company.

Cheers,

Jeff Wallace
