EPiServer 7.5 Commerce – commerce and content combined in our native mobile-first platform

EPiServer 7.5 Commerce positions EPiServer at the forefront of the convergence of commerce and content for businesses wanting greater results selling products and services online. Key industry analysts recognize the importance of tools for both of these key areas in modern e-commerce solutions.
This new release of EPiServer Commerce brings the business users’ experience together and enables them to perform their daily tasks quicker and easier. EPiServer can position a single platform offering a lower risk, lower cost and quicker to market full solution for our customers.
So what’s new?
New user experience
EPiServer and in particular the CMS product is recognized for being a very easy to use system. Our Commerce offering takes advantage of this and the additional improvements to the CMS product in our EPiServer 7.5 platform release. The consistent User Interface also improves efficiency of e-commerce marketers and helps new users learn the system quickly. It puts content in focus, and empowers merchandisers and marketers to be more agile, allowing them to respond to market opportunities quickly. Our improvements make creating any type of personalized campaign and customer journey possible through drag and drop tools for merchandising blocks, content and catalog items, with on-page edit so you know exactly what the customer experience will look like as you create.
Adaptive and mobile-first commerce
At the majority of our customers, marketers and merchandisers use EPiServer Commerce on a daily basis. They trade their product range, optimizing how and where products are displayed. They create campaigns and landing pages to increase sales. This new release of EPiServer Commerce brings the business user experience for these users together into consistent and enjoyable experience enabling to perform their daily tasks in less time. Taking cues from CMS 7, every piece of content and product is automatically optimized on the page and across PC, mobile and tablet. Whether you create your landing page from mobile or PC view, the experience across the screens will always be consistent, giving you the option to go mobile first.
Multi-market management for e-commerce growth
In this release we want to enable business growth through multi-site, multi-market and multi stock locations capabilities. These help businesses manage and grow into geographic, brand or other markets by reusing the global catalog and maximizing profit through cross merchandising.
They also help our customers satisfy customer demand and connect online and in-store experience through different multi-channel fulfilment options.
The improved platform
There have been a number of technology improvements to the platform including:

Catalog integration into cms is amazing!
Any idea on when the Commerce MVC based demo site will be released?
The MVC sample will be made available very soon, we're just finishing it up.

How do you link the CMS front end pages to catalogues and products - I have set up the catalogues but get a 404 page when trying to view the catalogues or products. Is there any documentation on how to set up CMS pages to the Commerce?

If this product is so good why is the documentation on how to set up a simple catalog of products so rubbish?
Can anyone tell me how you can create a simple Events catalog which has a list of Event (products) that show the Prices and can be set up to show the correct price per Member login?
