When linking to page with shortcut, redirects to other pages only (not media)

Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a page and publish it.
2. Set "Shortcut to another content item", set it to a pdf, and publish.
3. Click View on website.

Expected:
Should show pdf.

Actual:
Still shows page. If you click the link in the navigation, you get the pdf. If you go to the url of the page, you still see the page.

NOTE: The site navigation shows the correct link to the PDF, since it is aware of the shortcut.
