Episerver - update 193

New releases of Episerver CMS Core, Episerver CMS UI, Episerver Visual Studio extension, Episerver Commerce (including critical bug fixes), and Episerver Campaign. Critical bug fix for Episerver Connect for Marketing Automation.

The update applies to Episerver projects version 7.5 and higher, and contains finalized work items included in the latest iteration. Continuous release updates are cumulative to include previous updates. Episerver supports all platform updates and strongly recommends that you keep ongoing projects up-to-date. You can install the updates from the Episerver NuGet feed

Main packages
This release information lists updated main package versions for the Episerver platform. When a release is built, other dependent packages also may be bumped to new versions, although they contain no publicly visible changes. This is done to avoid dependency errors. When you upgrade, NuGet alerts you to upgrade related packages to the required versions. For Commerce, it is important to ensure that you are running the same version of CMS and Commerce, both in the front-end and back-end applications.

Episerver CMS Core

  • EPiServer.CMS.Core 11.3.0
    New feature:
    • CMS-9083Support for configuring CMS Core with code
Support for starting CMS Core in an integration test scenario without requiring a web.config file has been added. All common configuration settings are now supported to be changed programmatically.
The mapping of configuration values from web.config to options classes is now done during individual module configuration rather than between the configuration and the initialization phase. This enables the use of option classes in combination with having some configuration in the web.config.
  • CmsVisualStudioExtension 11.1.0.326

Episerver CMS UI

  • EPiServer.CMS.UI 11.2.0
    New features:
    • CMS-9228: MenuPin add-on now part of platform
The MenuPin add-on has been implemented in the core product. It allows users to pin the global menu.
    • CMS-7917Enable brand views to notify On-Page Edit of changes to visible elements (Beta)
Developers building rich clients using JavaScript can now notify On-Page Edit (OPE) when the rendering is done. This way editors and marketers can use OPE to edit content processed by  JavaScript without breaking the view. See John-Philip Johansson's blog post for more information.

Episerver Commerce

Episerver Campaign

  • Episerver Campaign 6.70
    New feature:
    • Sending S/MIME-signed messages

Now, users are able to send S/MIME-signed emails. The digital signature with S/MIME protects against phishing attacks. Recipients of an S/MIME-signed email can be certain that the message originated from the authentic sender and was not manipulated during the transmission.
