Page modified date

Hi,

I've got a very interesting question today.

When editors publish the page, modified date is not automatically updated.

Editors have to check the update modified date checkbox, and publish the page.
But they have to do it every single time since update modified date is automatically unchecked after publishing.

Is this a bug or feature?

Also, there's a "change" link next to published and created date, but there's no such a link next to modified date.
Why's that?

EPiServer 8.3.0

Thanks in advance for your help :)

It's a feature. It has to do with EPiServer subscription. If you check the box, it will trigger the subscription email (if enabled).

It seems like your client is really asking for the Saved date and not the Changed date.

The reason for having a checkbox is so editors can make minor changes without changing the change date. Which is kinda nice.

So either change the templates to display the Saved date or educate the editors how to use the Changed date :)
