Develop a mobile app for EPiServer

Have you consider just making the website responsive? Or are there any features you want to leverage from a native app that are not available in the browser?

Hi, we have a similar question. We have a potential client who has asked if Episerver can serve as a CMS doe the web but also for their iPad/iPhone app. How would that work?

Hello there,
Currently we have an EPiServer Commerce 7 site and we would wish to offer a full-fledge mobile application for this site. I have no expertise of any kind in mobile development, and at the time being I'm pondering which technologies and frameworks could I use to achieve my goal at the lowest cost.
One of the solutions I've considered is to develop a native mobile application with either Xamarin or Corona SDK, and then work with the EPiServer through a set of WebServices. The other one I'm considering is to use jQuery mobile alongside creating new templates for our EPiServer project, then let the TemplateResolver decide which template to use depending on the device that visits the site. This way, I would avoid messing with WebServices.
The matter is and as I already said, I have no experience in mobile development and I'm not sure what's the easy way to go, or whether I'm on the right way. What are the best approaches to develop a mobile app for EPiServer? Is it any hard to develop WebServices for EPiServer that can be consumed by Mobile devices? Has anyone tried to develop a native app to work with EPiServer?
