EPiServer 7 MVC - Content Area
ContentAreas support anything that implements IContent. For CMS, this means pages and blocks in EPiServer 7. In EPiServer 7.5 media is treated as content as well. For EPiServer Commerce, all catalog content is also handled as Content in EPiServer 7.5.
It is possible to create a content provider that wraps other data as content to be able to put it inside a content area though it will probably require some work.

What doesn't work to put into a content area?
I know blocks and pages works. But ye what doesn't work..
