Problem with spamming in comments
I just googled the phrase I posted earlier and there are a lot of places getting the same posts.

I have similar issues on my same blog and considering that I have three layers of protection against spam-bots I'm pretty sure that the comments are manually posted. There's not much you can do about this except pre-moderating comments or removing linking to URLs entered by the user (as that's most likely what the comment poster is after).

Hi,
I would recommend http://akismet.com/, which is crowd sourced. Captchas and stuff is just to complicated for the user.

These timestamps came from our customer blog, i think spammer is very busy if he write all manually :D

Sorry for the late reply. I started this post earlier but for some reason that user account has stopped working.
I thought it was done manually since the comments are so far apart. If they would had been gererated by bots I assumed they would be posted faster.
I changed from the EPiServer captcha to Google's Recaptcha and that seems to have done the trick. No more spam comments like this ever since.

Perhaps this is not a subject for the developer section but here it goes: We've got a problem with spamming in the comments of our blogs. We're using the captcha that comes with the Demo templates and when I try it there is no way to post without entering the right chain of letters.
The behavior of the comments are almost like they are made by hand, but in a really strange way. They are posted in different blogs with a few minutes between them and even though the languages of the sites are swedish, finnish, norwgian and danish the comments are in english and always with one letter swapped in one of the words, e.g. "I bow down hmbuly in the presence of such greatness.". Sometimes they are not words but instead url's in html-tags but the url's make no sense, e.g. http://qzmxmbisvson.com/]qzmxmbisvson.
Any ideas on what to do about this? They are not done all the time, but come with during a few days every 4-5 week or so and they switch between the different languages of the site every time. Should I perhaps start logging the ip-adress of the poster and ban it in the IIS? (Is storing IP addresses even legal?)
