Migration tool and SQL server 2008

Is there any problem to run the latest migration tool towards an SQL server 2008 instead of SQL Server 2005.

Problem I have seen:

http://www.from-rizo.se/2009/02/06/episerver-migration-462-to-cms5-r2-on-sql-server-2008/

The lastest tecnote (http://world.episerver.com/en/Documentation/Items/Tech-Notes/EPiServer-CMS-5/EPiServer-CMS-5-R2/EPiServer-CMS-Migration-Tool-11/) says:

If your EPiServer CMS is configured with a Microsoft SQL 2000 database, update to Microsoft SQL 2005 first, before using the migration tool.

Does this mean that I first need to update to sql 2005 before migration and then, after, upgrate to SQL server 2008?

I usually have one 2005 and one 2008 sql server instance locally on my development machine for migration. For 2000 and 2005 databases I use the 2005 instance - when the migration is complete I then, depending on what the customer wishes to use for production, keep the 2005 or upgrade to 2008 sql server.
