New SDK - All documentation in one place

Over the last couple of months, we have had a joint project between our development and our web teams at EPiServer. The project involved building a new SDK site based on EPiServer 7 CMS where you can find class libraries for CMS, Framework and java scripts.

All documentation in one place

The SDK site contains all the documentation you need for developing EPiServer 7 CMS projects. You will find useful information on getting started, developer guides and class libraries.

EPiServer 7 SDK - Class libraries, developer guides

The site is launched in a beta version simply because the SDK is a part of a much larger project – a re-launch of EPiServer World based on 7 CMS – work that is already underway. But as the SDK is pretty much done, we thought it would be a good idea to beta release this specific section.

Next step

In the next launch of the SDK, it will be totally integrated with EPiServer World and we will add community functionality which means that you can contribute to the SDK with code samples and comments. This will also be a part of the Community Recognition Program (CRP) where points are earned for your content contributions.

We will of course add EPiServer Find to the SDK down the road also.

But for now – you have a good collection of documentation and class libraries to help get you started on creating efficient solutions based on EPiServer 7 CMS.

This is also the SDK format we will be using for all new products in the future.

Enjoy!

Would be nice if the namespaces were sorted on the left side on the new sdk site :-)

Shamrez: Yes, oddly enough it used to be sorted, but I guess something went missing in the launch process. I'll fix it asap.
